Combining a roof replacement with an in-roof solar installation makes excellent economic sense. Traditional roofing materials, such as Yorkshire stone slate, are very expensive. By using flush, in-roof solar panels to cover a large area of the roof, the money saved on the stone you no longer need to buy can heavily offset – or virtually pay for – the cost of the solar installation itself.
